The Science of Toxicology Testing

Hi, I’m Aaron Olson.

I’m a forensic toxicology consultant.

I have 17 years of experience working in public and private forensic toxicology labs.

I’m the editor-in-chief of the DWI Journal, which publishes research and commentary on all aspects of DWI law and science.

My work includes working for the Minnesota State Crime Lab—the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Medtox Scientific.

I’ve been trained to maintain, operate, and certify the DataMaster DMT breath alcohol analyzer.

I’ve testified in court more than 85 times, taught the DataMaster DMT Operator Training course to officers in MN, and calibrated, maintained, and certified the DMT in the lab.

I am available to testify in forensic toxicology cases.
