Today, I talk with attorney and DMT expert Charles Rathburn about the inner workings of the DataMaster DMT. Chuck has spent over two decades studying the DMT breath alcohol analyzer.

He was one of the first attorneys allowed in the manufacturer’s office to study the DMT. He helped organize courses and even certified some of the instruments.

He’s one of the few people in the US who knows how to analyze the data produced by the DMT. Chuck is not only an attorney but has also testified as an expert witness in cases involving breath alcohol.

We talk about:

  • How Chuck got interested in learning more about DMT.

  • How he got access to learn more about the DMT.

  • The limitations of the current breath alcohol technology.

  • What it’s like to be an expert witness and a defense attorney.

  • What are some of the biggest issues people should be aware of regarding breath testing?
