DWI Boot Camp Sold Out
Well, that went quick!
When I first started thinking about putting together a one-day DWI Boot Camp, I knew there was a need for something more practical than the typical lecture-based CLE.
I just did not know how quickly people would respond to it.
The course is now sold out.
DWI Boot Camp: SFST & Toxicology Training for Attorneys will take place on November 11, 2026, at Jimmy’s Event Center in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. It has been approved for 7 CLE credits, and because the course is built around live practice and direct interaction, registration was limited to 25 seats.
Those seats are now filled.
Why I Wanted to Build This Course
A lot of my work involves helping attorneys understand toxicology evidence in DWI cases.
That usually means reviewing breath, blood, or urine testing, identifying potential problems, and explaining what the results do and do not prove.
But toxicology evidence does not exist in a vacuum.
It shows up alongside police reports, body-camera video, field sobriety testing, officer observations, lab reports, expert opinions, and courtroom testimony.
That is why I wanted to build a course that connects those pieces together.
Not just “here is how alcohol is absorbed and eliminated.”
Not just “here are the SFST clues.”
Not just “here is how to cross-examine an expert.”
A useful DWI course should help attorneys understand how the roadside investigation, the toxicology evidence, and the courtroom testimony all fit together.
This Is Not Just a Lecture
The course is designed to be hands-on and practical.
Attendees will work with live alcohol subjects in a controlled wet lab setting. They will observe SFST performance in real time, practice spotting and interpreting clues, and connect what they are seeing with the toxicology and courtroom issues that show up in actual DWI cases.
We will also work through real DWI case studies and direct and cross-examination practice involving officers and experts.
The goal is to make the training feel less like theory and more like the evidence attorneys actually have to evaluate.
The Instructors
I am also excited to teach alongside Chuck Ramsay and Anthony Palacios.
Chuck Ramsay brings deep courtroom experience in DWI litigation and will be helping attorneys work through trial techniques, case studies, and examination of DWI evidence.
Anthony Palacios brings extensive SFST and DRE training experience and has taught thousands of law enforcement officers, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges on impaired-driving investigations.
I will be handling the forensic toxicology portions, including breath, blood, and urine testing, alcohol interpretation, laboratory issues, and the connection between toxicology results and observed impairment.
Together, the goal is to make this a course where attorneys leave with practical tools, not just notes.
Thank You
I am grateful to everyone who registered, shared the course, responded to the early idea, or encouraged me to move forward with it.
Selling out this quickly tells me there is a real demand for practical DWI training that gives attorneys more than slides and theory.
Now the work shifts from filling the room to making sure the training delivers.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.
